Hello, my name is Stephen. I am 67. I was losing some of my short term memory so I went for a Memory Test. They couldn't find anything wrong with my memory, but to my surprise I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum. Everyone thought I was a Paranoid Schizophrenia from childhood including myself. Every one except my girlfriend hates me. Even my family. They are scared of me! I am a good person. Please be my friend! Thank you.

Aaaaaaw Stephen, the worst thing I can think about your previous mis-diagnosis is that you might have been prescribed unnecessary 'meds, which would be harsh. There is stuff written about the perceived similarities of symptoms with this cross-over confusion & if you are interested in reading a little more about this, as well as about life-on-spectrum generally, I would recommend
https://www.aspiescentral.com/resources/the-complete-guide-to-aspergers-syndrome.21/

Not only is this a thoroughly accessible & comprehensive book, it's about the kindest I've ever read on the subject.

Welcome to Central! :)
