Interesting Book

Hi,

I've been reading a book called Autism and the Seeds of Change by Abigail Marshall. It describes an approach to help fill in some gaps that tend to exist in autistic people's understanding of basic concepts such as continuity, change, and emotion. It describes a clay modelling approach that was discovered by an autistic engineer called Ronald Davis.

I'm a fast reader but this book has been taking me months to read, not because it's boring but because it's been so profound that I've often had to put it down just to absorb the implications at a deeply personal level. I haven't done any of the clay modeling described, but just reading about the concepts has been incredibly helpful for me.

I was wondering if anyone else had read the book or had knowledge of the Davis Approach that is described in the book.

I haven't heard of it and unfortunately I have too many things already going on to really think abotu this, but I want to look into it now too so thanks.

Great! I'll hold back on commenting until you guys have finished reading it. I'd be really interested to know what you think.
