Hi,
My name is Christian, and this is the first and only forum I've ever dared to join (I find the lack of paralinguistic features difficult to cope with, and my Asperger's makes the extra socialising difficult)

I've done a lot of quiet roaming through the topics, more often than not finding most of my view has already been neatly expressed by the time I reach the end.

Anyway, I thought I might introduce myself before posting on them.

I'm 17 years old, very mature for my age (so I'm told) in a theoretical sense, but not in a practical sense.

I love writing, language, cinema (from Citizen Kane to Pirates of the Caribbean - I always have to look up that last word!), and acting.

Of course, I'll have an opportunity to bare the rest of my soul later on, I was just wondering who else out there shared these interests (particularly language, as I seem to be the only one).

I can't wait to talk to as many of you as possible, thanks for having me.

Sorry to tell you that this forum is very, ver quiet these days, and can go weeks or months without a single post. It was probably perfect for someone like yourself back when it was more active. These days I am surprised that anyone is paying the hosting costs. The people who started it were awesome, but they've moved on.

Some of the members here started a new site - www.aspiescentral.com - I am not active there but it might be worth you having a look.

Thanks for putting me out of my misery 142857. I realised about the day after I joined that this site was a bit of a relic, but I thought I'd still wait until someone replied. I feel a little embarrassed, but aspies central does look more promising. Thanks again.
