Nice going, Fern. I think you have a pretty good idea there. Didn't know that red was an alternative to the "light it up blue" stuff--Honestly, most autism awareness mess seems pretty patronizing.

There's the whole "nothing about us, without us" movement going on too, which is pretty interesting, and the ASAN stuff. I think that your email is perfect, though, as it doesn't overwhelm the principle with a bunch of oddly named acronym organizations that sound like holdouts either from Tumblr or the New Deal era.
