Oil based is only used for alkyds actually a polyester, solvent based vs water based more accurate Wagner easy to clean. Had mine for 30 years trick knowing how to use it. great for hobbyist, if a guy like me shows you how to use it.
Most use spray cans, like you did lots of runs, many coats. Wagner made from polyethylene plastic so inert to solvents. paint does not stick to it. rinse with solvent, or like me soap and water emulsify the residual resin.
With coil half the paint used no overspray. I would love to show retail paint suppliers how with a drawdown bar a leneta chart small oven they could show customers all you need is one coat, marketing.
