How to deal with co-workers

Yea, this girl who is asking me has had some really scary moments, one time she told me she got so drunk she didn't remember how she got home. I partied a lot in my 20s so I understand, I had some really bad moments too of people trying to take advantage of me. So I don't want to be near any of that. I don't hold it against them, it's just her constantly asking me, I just wish she's leave me alone and stop asking me every five minutes. Read my lips I am not interested in going out and getting drunk and making a fool of myself. Been there done that. Maybe at some point she'll get a damn clue and stop pressuring me, it's making work stressful.

Well, now it makes that much more sense why she's pestering you. But hey...no one deserves to be pestered about anything when they've already and categorically said "no". They need to pick on another gay man...or God forbid deal with us dreaded heterosexual males in the workplace. LOL.

I mean like I said I wouldn't mind hanging out with them, just not under those circumstances. I don't see it as picking on me, it's just a little annoying why they always asking me. I've offered to do happy hour with them sometime, so it would be easier for me to water down and then drive home afterwards and it not be the wee hours. Where I live there are no subways car is the only option and I live 45 minutes away. So yea. I wish she'd get the picture.

Well, if they aren't willing to do that or have never asked, it kind of tells you where you sit in terms of their priorities.

Which would be less than flattering and should make it easier for you to just turn them down without feeling badly about it.

The guys never ask me, I think they're just to socially awkward. She's the only one who does. I've had lunch with her before, but she never asks me for coffee or anything, it's always "going out to party". I get it because she's a vibrant 21 year old and I can pass for 21 age wise, so I get it, but just not my thing. Yea it does say a lot that all someone would want from me would be to just go get drunk. Like I said, she's basically trash. It rubbed me the wrong way yesterday she had gotten another co worker to go out with her and put me on the spot, saying "so and so is coming, you should too". Um, no. I have my own life and plans, sorry I can't drop everything and join your little clique to get hammered and for what? I mean doesn't anyone want to do anything of substance anymore? Call me crazy but my idea of a good weekend is relaxing taking it easy taking in movies, spending time with my cat, shopping, going for a walk, listening to music, and that type of thing. Not staying out til the wee hours and getting hammered.
