How did you first discover your Aspergers?

I was diagnosed over a year ago. I had one of my doctors say it was somewhat obvious and overlooked. The doctor who actually diagnosed me did not do it out of his own knowledge about me, but from the doctor before.
I had time to sit on it in between the two events, and I wasn't really convinced. Since I have been dealing with mental health for most of my life, I had done research on autism to see if I was on the spectrum, and I came up with a no. I did explain to the doctor that it wasn't something I agreed with, but he said that it would be beneficial to have to be able to accses more support in the future, so I didn't fight it.
Even not thinking I was actually on the spectrum, I kind of adopted it. I wasn't diagnosed with anything in the past, so it felt ice to be part of a group. Over time, I became more familiar with the spectrum, and started noticing things in myself that a line with the condition that I overlooked. It didn't take to long to gather a plethora of traits when I was paying attention. At that point I was convinced but still skeptical. The big hitter was when I read up on depression in autism, and lined up strongly with almost every point. I have never read a list of effects a illness has on someone that didn't strongly match up to me, despite a lot of searching. So reading that list was a game changer.
