How can I stay positive on a hot day?

Hey guys, I have a question to ask you all. It is a hot and humid day where I live, and I want to stay positive, as my brain is about to melt into negativity any moment. So, can you guys give me a simple technique or life hack on how I can be positive and take care of my mind on a hot and humid day? I would love to know. Thank you.

Well if nothing else, you can be positive that it's a hot day.😉
But for a more serious answer, you probably need to find an indoor activity that you enjoy during this heat wave. I like the outdoors myself, but outdoor time is best limited right now. If you must be outside (for example I still have to take care of my horse) then make sure you drink plenty of water and go back inside if you feel unwell at all. I don't know what kinds of things you enjoy, but watching a favorite movie or a new one, reading a book, working on a craft project, or playing a game are some common indoor activities that a lot of people enjoy. If you have an indoor pet, perhaps spend a little extra time with it. Looking back at some previous posts of yours, it looks like doing some writing might be something to pass the time as well.

I should also mention that drinking an electrolyte drink seems to help me (not just physically but energy levels and mood as well) when I have gotten overheated. I've been drinking water with electrolytes added from a little packet every day lately. It has helped every time.

I agree with @FayetheAspie about the electrolytes. I've done the same over the past few days and it seems to help. Dehydration can sneak up on you and it can really affect your ability to think straight.

It can help to take a cool shower or put a slightly wet towel in the freezer for awhile and then drape it on your neck. I also enjoy staying in a slightly dark room - it makes me feel cooler in my mind.

Maybe don't try to do too much and give yourself a little grace to take it easy and move slowly. It's not a good time to pressure yourself into being too productive or active.

Another idea is having some sorbet. ☺️

Stay in the shade
Stay out of the sun from 9 a.m. to about 6 p.m.
Drink cold/ice water
Stay in the A/C
Sit in a dark room with the AC blasting

These are all things I do during summer. Summer is not my favorite time of year.
