Hi...

Hello, all -- I'm rHFactor, a middle-aged fiction writer and overeducated production worker, who is in the process of trying to get an evaluation/diagnosis. I brushed it off before whenever people would suggest I might be on the spectrum -- I've already been diagnosed as ADHD (inattentive), and I know there's lots of overlap there -- but the more I actually learn about autism, the more I recognize specific things about it in myself (like social awkwardness, the need for routine and space, or food/sound sensitivities). While I'm trying to get an official evaluation arranged, I'm looking into support groups and forums like this one to learn more (and maybe even understand myself better along the way).

Hi and welcome. This is a good place for discussions and for reading about views and ideas of others who are diagnosed or self diagnosed with autism, I hope that you enjoy it here, and will throw in your own experience and ideas too.
