Hi...? "Newbie" here :)

Hello!

I don't want to discourage you but I'm always a little bit worried with people who read up on these things on the internet and jump to conclusions like any condition they read about. There will be a certain amount about Asperger's that you can identify and that's like that for most people. The only real way you can find out is going to a doctor who knows about Asperger's in females. I know that isn't always an easy task. I'm sure I'm telling you stuff you already aware of. But I just like to perhaps put a little pause for thought there, I guess.

Regardless, you are of course welcome to partake in discussions. Not like you need my permission or anything though.

Enough rambling. Welcome and dive in!

Thanks a lot!!! :D To be honest, after all these months examining my past, my failures and my current situation, i don't even have doubts about it, but of course i plan to seek medical help and diagnosis. This forum was quite important in the process though ^^

Hi and welcome!

I was in same boat. Sure i had it., passed tests, was even dxed autism by a phd BUT then they changed the dsm .

I went back and was rudely told i am not autism.

HOWEVER, i am not normal so i went to a well known genetics dept where they found chrom 6 duplication.

There i found orhers exactly lije me. I am a C6 thru and thru

So if u r not asp or aut, seek karyotyping whoch may give u answers

Just type on Chromosomal abnormalities implicated in autism. There are many. There are, though, many syndromes that are not autism but which are close to . Check out Unique Chromosomal Support groups
