HI! I am Ross Johnson AU!

I am an autistic savant. My savant abilities mostly entail rapid date calculation for dates ranging between 1900 and 2020. (When I say date calculation I mean finding the day of the week for a given date between the years of 1900 and 2020) I use this ability as a way of coping with meltdowns and coping with negative feelings. And also to entertain people. I am also noted for memorizing bus stops in my transit system and Via Rail Canada prices and train schedules for its transcontinental service "The Canadian".

I perform my memory and savant abilities for audiences Canada wide and this summer I am touring with my autism support worker who is also a comedy magician and the West Coast Amusements carnival. I am excited to share my talents with people and while I am doing this I educate people on autism and synesthesia.

What experiences do you have with synaesthesia? I experience every sense visually, it can be uncomfortable but I see everything. I see every word I hear as letters and words. I can see music as waves and I can see the patterns that way. It lets me see when a musician makes a mistake or does something perfectly. I have many experiences like this. I do not know how it has ever helped me.
