"Hi" from a mom of spectrummy kid

Hello :) I'm going to go post over in the parenting forum, but wanted to introduce myself here first.

I'm not dx with any asd, but am a bit spectrummy myself - sensory issues, add, hyperlexic, a lot of social difficulty as a kid and teen.

Anyway, my 5-year-old is *maybe* on the spectrum? She has a lot of traits, I've had a few people suggest she is on the autism spectrum (others have insisted she's not), she's been screened a couple times, but no diagnosis. Looking for input from autistic adults on the reasoning for some of her behaviours and how I can best support her.

Thanks for reading :)

Hello welcome to the forums chillimom , I hope you can find the help and comfort about the spectrum in this forum :) also the same for your 5 year old.

I'm not actually an adult, so I won't be able to help you, but good luck on your life path.

Welcome! Obviously we can't give your daughter a diagnosis, but regardless of diagnosis "status," we are always willing to help those who share some of our quirks/difficulties/strengths. Hope you get to feeling comfortable here. :)
