Hi all, here to make sense of it all

Hi there; I thought that starting here on AspiesCentral is as good a place as any so here goes (I thought the name was amusing)...

I'm from England, in my 30's and diagnosed myself with Asperger's after taking the AAA Test at http://www.autismresearchcentre.com/arc_tests
Although I've always felt 'fine', I had lots of communication/emotional issues when conversing with my wife and after several years she did a lot of research into autism and shared it with me. I scored quite highly in the test and it made a lot of sense to me- at least there was a 'cause' for the way I act/interact. Finding that out came as a relief, but I still need to deal with the day-to-day problems this condition highlights when interacting with my neurotypical wife and child.

Thus hoping to find some tips from you folks!

A little about me.... I work 6 days a week but try to spend time watching movies, listening to Rock music (Vinyl/CDs/MP3/Internet etc), playing on the Xbox and collecting Japanese animation artwork. Fitting any of this into my life is tricky since family things are at the forefront, but you get the gist ;)

See you around the forums!

Hi Krafty and welcome to AC.

There are quite a few self diagnosed aspies here and folk that share similar interests. So, pull up a chair and enjoy :)

Welcome aboard :)

Krafty, welcome home, we have been missing you here. We are glad you have joined us. Share as much honesty with us as you are comfortable with. This forum is an all you can feel and think buffet. We have a smattering of something for everyone here. Grab your mess kit and pull up a chair. When you have nothing better to do, turn off the X box, and open up the think box. We need your voice. It is not always fun, but it sure is real.
