Hi Kazz! Welcome to Aspies Central.

I can guarantee that you will learn a lot here and makes some friends along the way. We are extremely friendly and caring (I like to call this wonderful community a close-knit family), so feel free to chat with us any time you like.

Hi,
Happy that you are here. This is a place where good people work together to help each other out. There is no good and bad here, just trying. When I got here I was alone in this world. The people here became my friends. I know them pretty well now, even though we have never met, and they know me. The only thing I ever got on here was support (except for the "Believe In God" post, stay away from that one). You are safe here to share you thoughts and questions without the weird looks, snide remarks and the just plain walking away.
I hope you feel as at home here as I do.
Good Luck.

thanks all, my brother is getting a lot of support for his aspergers, he lives in a sheltered, suppoorted housing project in lancashire and is doing very well..he is in his fifties and loves his independence.
i am 44, soon to be 45!! eek!! i have always felt a bit out of sync wtih others, my dad always said i was a square peg!!

the RDOS aspie quiz says i have both aspie and NT traits, 96 aspie/108 NT so i dont know...i've never broached the subject with anyone!!
i do have trouble recognising faces, the prosopagnosia does seem to hold for me and i do go on a lot!
i do have anxiety, get it quite bad and i have a degree of OCD...
