Helping Others

I'm waiting on ssi right now should hear in a few months and to pass the time ive decided to help others but im on probation and a felon right now so any ideas on what I could do to help others? I think for me this is the best way to pass the time.

Shelter pets are others in a way. They may need dog walkers, people to spend time with cats etc.

How artsy craftsy are you? There's always a call for hand-crocheted blankets for hospitals, nursing homes, and such places. You might could find a local crochet, knitting, or sewing circle and work with the people there in mini marathons making stuff for the local needy.

If there is a Meal On Wheels kind of place, perhaps you could help deliver food to those who need it? Similarly, is there a nearby soup kitchen you could work in?

Some of my local thrift stores are always looking for volunteers to help sort goods to put out on the shelves.

So, are you a real felon, or just somebody stuck with a felony label because you tripped over a mailbox or something inane like that?

I am assuming you are not in prison ( if you are American, I think the terms in: jail)?

I would think the best way is for you to help the people that you have hurt; perhaps not directly, but others in the same situation and I mean, hurt in any form: whether it was stealing etc etc. However, what ever it is that you are guilty over, you certainly seem to feel sorry; for it is not often one who has done wrong, that chooses to pass the time away, by helping others!

I think working for those who cannot do much for themselves in an excellent way to help, because they need a spokesperson for them and you obviously can be that, otherwise, you would not be on probation; just need to redirect your assertiveness.

I havent hurt anyone what was done to me was by my family and was very wrong

Its a long story but it has nothing to do with hurting anyone useing drugs or alchol I had a mental breakdown and the police aggreisvly arrested me and I attacked them
