Hello

Welcome Dark Cloud.
I can identify with a lot of your traits, others not so much.
We all vary, yet there is a common thread throughout.

I was a Tomboy also and had no care for dating or friendships through my teen years.
Now I am a 63 year old that never grew up inside to desire the things in life most do.
And yes, I've ended up pretty much alone.
Still don't socialise and I never learned to make eye contact either. In most situations, why bother
when it is uncomfortable?

I have a houseshare partner, but, we have little in common and he has his half of the house, I have mine.
I've never lived alone.
I like the statement on finding a passion as I study and keep learning.

Hope you can feel a part of a community here that will be helpful! :)

It's fine to not like touch.

It's great to look over people's shoulder or at their collar!

It's great that you are proud of yourself.

As you like visual images you can branch out to art history, geometry, etc eventually.

I "see" issues spatially whether my eyes are open or shut.

(This is probably part of why some children like plane spotting & trainspotting.)

But, my potential didn't unfold till middle age.

This ran through my ancestors' families and some of them were from the continent.

However diverse, we were a great bunch as are the folks at AF here as well!
