I am a gay NT guy who recently meet someone who has Aspergers that I am crazy about. I am having a hard time understanding him so im hoping to find some answers here.

Ok! Welcome! You took the first step and posted, that was the hard part.
Is there one particular thing he does or doesn’t do that you would like to understand? Just to get things started....

Welcome.

I hope you find some useful information here. However, don't expect everything you read to perfectly describe the person you're asking about. Each person, whether NT or ND, has a personality and a unique collection of strengths and weaknesses. Some generalizations may apply, some may not.

Good luck!

Why do you think he is Aspie?
Have you ever wondered if you might be Aspie yourself? I was just wondering because from your post I had to remind myself that YOU are the NT and the boyfriend is the Aspie.
Just a thought that it might be the other way around?
There are simple online tests like the ones on aspiequiz.net

I took this test for you RDOS -

Your neurodiverse (Aspie) score: 52 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 161 of 200
You are very likely neurotypical

Well, ok. So you are an open, nice, sweet NT guy then.
So much for my input! Lol
Sorry I troubled you with my off the wall observations. I hope others here will offer some useful advice.
Good luck.
