Hi, my name is Sara and it’s nice to meet you all :)

So for a while now I’ve been making some research on autism and I’ve been finding that I relate to a lot of traits autistic people have.
The first time I actually heard of autism was not a long time ago. It was during the process of going to a psychiatrist to get treated for social anxiety and they suspected that I had autism and encouraged me to get tested for it. Even though at that time I was pretty baffled by the whole thing and I refused.
But up until now it’s been in the back of my mind. That’s how I decided to do some research about it and that’s how things would start to make sense.
I always had trouble communicating with other people. I’ve always felt like I don’t fit in. I’ve always been told that I’m strange and that I can’t express myself well. Honestly, even if I might not have been that bad at first. As people kept telling me all these things I slowly felt like I lost my confidence more and more.

I honestly feel really tired of the feeling of not being able to “fit in”. And that’s how I came to join this forum. I wanted to see if there were more people that are like me and understands what I’m going through.

Hi Sara :)

If you were Aspie I would say,
What is lost is confidence thinking you are NT, and what is gained is confidence you are not.
