i was part of another autism site, but this one seems friendlier. i'm not really big into forums but it is reassuring to have a place you can go and actually relate to people. sites like this are really helpful in letting me admit that my struggles are real and not 'excuses'.

i am 22 and hoping to get diagnosed this year but i have a lot of trouble making appointments and finding doctors, combined with past bad experiences with therapists. however, i'm taking it slowly and actually making progress for once and hoping to have something lined up before the week is over!

if i keep at it, slowly but surely, i think i will finally be able to get help. :) it is difficult, but i am trying very hard to keep a positive mindset.

oh, that's such a good way of thinking about it and I really love sci-fi, so thanks! I will store that away in my data banks for future referencing. :cool:
