Hello! (with a smile and a wave)

Cherry tomato and broccoli, cheese half Parmesan, half mozzarella, shredded fresh basil.
(And eggs, onion and milk o/c)
Shortcrust pastry made with self-raising flour.

Had hot rocket & watercress salad and avocado with it.:)

Hi Karamazov and welcome, i to was 'messed' about by professionals re a diagnosis and paid privately in the end, ahhh cooking, i went (partly due to being competitive!) from a person that made basic meals to complex recipes, although i've improved a little i seem to use every pan/utensil in my kitchen so the 'clean/tidy as you go' evades me,i seem to cook a different recipe most day, i find it relaxing and a joy, reading has been a excape from all since childhood, crime novels and art and design, and playing a instrument lovely, i've not given up on the hope to play tenor sax one day, hope you enjoy it here.

^ Thank you.:)
I’m hoping the next referral will actually get me somewhere: but that was put on hold till September due to the plague.

I’m strictly a “wash up after” cook, stacking it all neatly next to the sink and tackling it as a separate job just feels like a tidier way to organise tasks in time.
Yeah, I’ve gone from simpler to more complex and/or experimental recipes since getting married: the stimulus of having to cook to two peoples tastes simultaneously “forced” me to go out of the comfort zone. Lots of anxiety and disasters on the way, but I’ve got there and enjoy it now.:)

Saxophone sounds fun.
My cousin plays euphonium, and is always very keen to share his latest piece.

I'm the wash up as I wait for the food to cook, kinda guy, myself.
My specialty in cooking is goulash.

Yeah, I’ll wash whilst something bakes/roasts in the oven: but if I’ve a pan to watch on the hob that takes precedence.

I’ve never tried making goulash: is that beetroot base, or am I thinking of something else?

For some reason I’m now thinking it’s too long since I made Anglesey Eggs... ;)

Goulash is a full-on meat dish, cut in cubes, the way I do it. I sometimes put in a couple of pickles. Then there is mustard, onions and bacon.

Ah... I was brought up vegetarian and only introduced to meat at age thirty: Mrs K deals with the cooking of such dishes the two-three times a month we have them.
Sausage, Blaukraut and Mash is my favourite meat dish.:)

I wish I could be vegan. But I don't have the discipline.
Killing animals for food is disgusting, so I guess I'm disgusting also.
Such is life.

Yeah, I know what you mean: I have to have radio or television on whilst eating meat to keep my mind from fully processing what I’m doing...
Feel a sense of self-disgust if I focus on the reality of the situation.

Only eat pig, and only from a local organic/free range/rare breed farmers market stall to help salve my conscience there.

Hi, so 6 shrinks took your money and referrered you on? I'd ask for a refund. Welcome to the site. Meat is good for muscle tone.

Hello!
Well, all the appointments were free to me at time of use (NHS), so I’m not out of pocket. :)
Think I’m just having to go through rigmarole because there’s no specialist in my rural regional trust, and they want to be as sure as they can be of a positive diagnosis before they transfer funds to an urban regional trust to get the job done. Not really sure, that’s just my “lowest resentment possible” take.;)

Oh, so youre a cash cow for a ring of them. Well it's the system. I was once referred on about 20 times, but it was only phone referrals, after about 8, it was so absurd i had to keep ringing their referee just to satisfy myself how mad and inefficient it was. I was only enquiring about adult support services, with low expectations - eventually got referred back to the first person I called, so the circle was complete.

^ Yep, I’ve been circled too.
I first saw my GP, she referred me to the psychologist’s practice in the next door building where I saw one of their members: who halfway through the session got the head of the practice to sit in.
I was then referred to the central psychiatry unit for the NHS trust where I saw a CBT therapist: who after an hour long interview declared that he concurred with the previous professionals take, but had no experience or training in treating suspected or diagnosed autists and couldn’t ethically practice on me.
So I was referred back to my GP’s surgery where I saw the head doctor, who referred me to the surgeries mental health specialist: who has said he will refer me to the next stage of the process in September when (hopefully) covid will no longer be complicating the functionality of the healthcare system.

Mrs K is concerned that every appointment has left me mentally and cognitively exhausted for the next day or two, and is having doubts as to whether the process is too much of a strain on me to be worth it.

Personally I’m up for it though, I’d rather go through it and have the surety of proper diagnosis from a specialist.

So nice to bump into you brother K :)

I'm a savage and cook mostly with meat, but I make several vegetarian pasta dishes and entrées and strangely enough, I usually don't bake with meat ;)

Good to see you too Brother Bender! :)

Well, I have checked online and Mr Farmer will be selling his excellent swine flesh products in the high street next Thursday.
So I’ll just have to be a savage next weekend.
Yummy!:D

I have an entire swine on order from a local organic farmer. The swine are 100% free range and pasture fed. I'm splitting it with my Dad, but it will be ready in time for the winter. We'll be retaining most things from it so I'll probably be dabbling a bit in charcuterie.

That should be very tasty for you and yours. :)
Good luck with the dabbling!

I’m less ambitious: I’ll get a big bag of plain unflavoured sausages made from Berkshire pigs, and freeze most of them in bags of six.

I already have homemade blaukraut to go with, and Mrs K will most likely make some of her sausage and bean stew at some point. :)

Hi5, Bender,
Welcome to the civilised part of town.

I'm a K9, so I am a meat-eater.
I tried eating a vegan 2 days a week, a while ago. I will try that again and see how I do. :p
BTW, Is Pepperoni pizza a vegitarian meal? :pizza:
