Hi, I'm a 41 year old woman from Pensacola. After some research and speculation, I have self diagnosed myself with.Aspergers just this week. I plan to seek an official diagnosis as soon as my insurance kicks in. The main feeling I have about is is relief. Finally! I'm not "crazy," there is a reason I think and feel the way I do.
I have a husband (who is in denial that I can have this) and a teenage daughter (who gets it and now knows why Mom is "off.") I work in fast food but I'm trying to make it as an author but it is slow going trying to write because I'm easily frustrated and distracted.
I hope to once in my life, belong to a community of people with similar thoughts and feelings. Anyway, that's a brief synopsis of my story. :)

Welcome to AC! No, you're not crazy either. You're not deficient as well.

You're just different in comparison with a neurological majority.

That said, I think you'll find you have a lot in common with the rest of us.

Howdy! Just want to say Welcome! and that I wish I had your weather right now (I'm in Kansas with snow on the way). Oh, I forgot. I'm NT and grumpy. :D

Hi, Sakirkist. It's definitely a good feeling to fit all the pieces into the puzzle, isn't it? I'm self-diagnosed too. Nothing else I've researched describes my life as much as Asperger's. I'm still waiting to have enough money to spend on an official diagnosis. Welcome to the forum. Enjoy! :)

Welcome aboard :)
