Have you ever been stuck in your own head so much that you forget to do things like eat?

I ask this because yesterday I only ate breakfast and I forgot to eat anything else; so, when I went to work, I felt like crap and thought I was dying until I had a granola bar.
 
I had a couple of times like that when I was so wrapped up in video games that I played straight for 24 hours without eating or drinking. That was a bad idea.
 
Yessss I definitely relate to this. I get too immersed in games, videos, or random things I'm doing and barely come up for air, let alone remember to eat. And use the restroom only when it's "situation critical."
 
No, I'm the opposite. Usually when playing a videogame or drawing or colouring I keep going to the fridge to get something to munch whilst engaging in the activity.
With ADHD I find it hard to sit and focus for too long, I have to get up but for no particular reason, so I like to make a reason by eating while up.

I heard some autistic people can become so hyperfocused on a task that they don't feel their body's needs like going to the bathroom, so they end up pooping or peeing themselves. I don't think I've ever got that hyperfocused on anything before, even as a child.
 
It's not uncommon to be so busy that you forget to eat. Though it's not healthy to deprive your body food for prolonged periods. While it's true you can survive without food for quite a long time, it's not advisable to. Especially with overall health being a consurn.

As for me. I have done that on occasion while I lived on my own. Though I was depressed alot of the time too. So I'm fairly certain that played a role in my, less than great, eatting habits.
 
I'm hypersensitive to every little thing my body does so it's not like me to ignore basic needs. I feel like I could go without food or sleep if I really wanted to, but my brain and body is shutting down on me enough as it is, especially since the covid pandemic.

If I could ignore my need for food I probably wouldn't be overweight, which I have been about 99% of my life.
 
It is common for me to not feel hungry if I'm occupied with something and hence skip past a meal without noticing, the same for drinking, if I'm focused and in the zone, that's it, I'm lost for anything except what my attention is on
 
Yeah, fairly often when I am focused on something. My son asks me if I have eaten, and I have to actually think back and realize that I haven't. Or I suddenly get all shakey or super fatigued and realized I've missed a couple of meals. And as mentioned above, I suddenly realize a restroom trip is top priority.
 
Yes, constantly, but in my case it’s because I have an enormous imagination, and I get lost in it all the time.

All-The-Time. If I am busy doing something and my mind is focused, there won't be a thought in my head towards eating, nor hunger pangs. Several hours later, I might look at the time. I sort of just take advantage of the situation now and just eat one, maybe two meals a day. It's when I get bored that I might seek out food, not because I am particularly hungry, but rather something to satiate my brain rather than my stomach.
