Happy Easter!

No, but it is coming up and a thread started a little early will allow more people to get a chance to post.

I am on my second bag of Easter chocolate eggs. Yesterday l saw two bunnies running between houses on our street. So it must be official.

Egg prices are high, so I'm going to make paper mâché eggs and paint them with colored acrylic paints and a final coat of clear acrylic. I inflate little balloons (or big ones if you prefer), cover them with two or three layers of paper mâché, let them thoroughly dry, and then paint them. Let the paint dry and then pop the balloons inside the eggs before you use them.

I'll paint each child's name on some eggs.

Thank you for posting this FayeTheAspie
I will later add some events during Easter that the church I attend is having.

I myself find Easter quite difficult. Today is Passion of Christ day in the Church. The whole post period from Jesus' arrest to his crufixication. I find this period double edged. Christ became our atonement but the death and trial I find harrowing still. I particularly like myself after the resurrection with the Supper at Emmaus when Christ appeared. I have posted a picture of this in the art thread and will do so in this thread as well. What I do like is when Christ returns it will be not be with a crown of thorns. He will be free from this stage and I am so glad he doesn't have to bear this unnatural pain again for us. I asked my rector this question and they said when Christ returns the 2nd time it will be with a crown of thorns etc.

Some people during this period like to perform or partake in the Passion of Christ. That is a bit too painful for me and I cannot go further than the Garden of Gethsemane with my Lord and Master with his extra sensory hearing.

Peace to during this period with your loved ones.

Being through that one, and whenever I'm broke I had people give us more Easter eggs than I wanted kids on sugar buzz..
So keep hope, sure turn out ok

More snow and wind this morning. If it keeps up, Santa Claus might be delivering the Easter baskets.

Hi, for 3 years now I have been attending a Dawn Dusk service at 5am held at my church. A fire is lit and I love to go and watch. I find it so special and moving, like we are waiting for Jesus to arrive in wait and reliving the moment he was discovered resurrected in the tomb.

This is the capture on video from this year last week 20th April 2025.

Pentecost day comes right at the end of the Christian calendar. It is my favourite day in the calendar. It is when the Holy Spirit descended upon the disciples and they started to speak in different languages and tongues.
I made a brief highlight video of it at the church I attend today. It is only just over one minute the video.
