haha, my friend (he was Canadian so I can share this) told me a joke.

On coming up with the name for their country, they got a scrabble set and picked letters.

"C, eh?", "N, eh?", "D, eh?"

If I recall correctly, that's a Scots pronunciation and so there's actually lots of places in Canada where people wouldn't really get the joke.

The use of "eh" is also quite regional.

Now on the other hand, "sorry" is quite universal across the country. :)

We also (at least in some parts) like to thank our bus drivers when we leave a bus.
 
Private fireworks starting up we live close to the biggest park in Brampton. Should be a zoo here in a few more hours. People looking for parking. Time to leave my basement door wide open as my cats will be terrified. city fireworks held in park.
