Autism List

This has everything that I struggle with relating to autism traits/signs. It includes the Autism Quotient and RAADS-R scores and answers

I hate self diagnosing myself, but am suspecting possible ASD. Hopefully today I can ask the psychologist if I can get a referral. I am giving this document to her.

on the autism list did you say you do a lot of masking !do you know what that is! you're doing naturally what a lot of female Aspies do that's why psychologists don't recognise it it's good if they specialise in autism , I had a psychiatric nurse and her son was autistic so she knew quite a lot more still couldn't diagnose me .

interesting that you have a psychiatric mental health nurse service in the USA .I think it's the same as a community psychiatric nurse!do you have school reports! ,medical reports !starting from when you were about two or three years old?! if you can get a friend !or relative !to go with you ,who knew !!!you at that age !!!!!that will help them a lot!
 
Many of the things you wrote sound like spectrum traits. I am just self diagnosed. It happened when I was researching autism to understand family members better and stumbled upon myself so to speak. Joining autism forums, reading other people's experiences was very helpful for me in the self assessment.

I didn’t until the doctor made me feel like a hypochondriac
