I was just curious how many on here have found what they were meant to do for career I have been reading alot of stuff saying find your strengths and do something you like to do like hobby right now I like watching alot of tv and video games also enjoy poker but you ant really do that without alot of startup money id say my biggest strength is being open to new ideas from people I do have some ideas for things but no idea for how to put that in motion to make money im not very tech savy to do these things myself as most of them pertain to creating different sorts of websites my fav thing is sports specifically the nfl but I think at this point im 28 going on 29 I couldn't make a living off of that.

Many years ago I went through a university-sponsored job counseling program. took numerous tests to determine my strengths and weaknesses, and what job might prove to be optimal for me based on the results. The program also provided access to a "job library" which enlightened me about so many jobs I never even heard of, apart from the usual stuff advertised in the papers at the time. Though at a time before the Internet.

The video game industry is very Aspie friendly and has a lot of different openings for different talents: Level Designer, Concept Artist, 3d artist, programer, QA tester, Game Tester.....

Maybe look into that? I know EA is very sports oriented.

Grab a sheet of paper.
On the left side list your hobbies / likes / interests
on the right list your skills /talents

then match the left to the right and the right to left. in the middle you'll find a way. Some times it will involve several from each column.

If you ever have a hard time doing or finding something you like fixing that that can be an opportunity.

There's a good book, a classic book, called "What Color Is Your Parachute?" designed to help those who are having your problem.

God has put me here to be tormented by people who need to learn something. Here is the pattern-

A Christian will come into my life. I will end up getting either beat up by them (twice in a row) or emotionally used and destroyed. They end up with the Lightbulb moment and try to change their lives because they can. They end up married, rich, and downright praising God that they got by with hurting me.

I am a catalyst to help people change by God taking me by the scruff of the neck and throwing me under a violent bus and telling me to shut the F up and take it like a good little believer and let the others kill me if they must.

"It's about them! Not you!" Thank you God. You rock

I’m a medical doctor. I don’t believe in people having a purpose in a religious sense, but I’m good at my job and most days I love what I do.

I'm a private language teacher, but I feel that I'm not suited to the job and that I'm trapped into it. I feel that I was meant to go into scientific research or engineering. Unfortunately, we are pushed to make life-changing decisions at an age when we can't possibly know what our calling in life is, and we don't have the knowledge or maturity to make such decisions. By the time we reach our 40s and realise we made a mistake, it's too late.

Yeah those are good suggestions maybe one day ill figure it all out sometimes im trying too and makeing a little progress then others I feel too depressed and feel like ive been knocked down and cant get back up like this was the thing that broke me finally for good.

I found it in my early 30s after having my children, I didn't even notice it but it just crept up on me. Unfortunately, nothing that I want to do pays enough to live on. So in a way I wish I didn't know because I wouldn't be frustrated on a daily basis.

I had this in my 20s, the devil is in the detail. So in video games, what specifically? Are you drawn to tower games? Get a job in the construction industry. Are you drawn to war games? Get a job in the defense industry. Are you drawn to social media? Get a job in telecommunications, or sales, or retail. Are you drawn to football? Get an admin job at the local club.

But don't rush to the end before you've started the race. For example, you might like war games, so get a low level job in the defense industry somewhere, factory, design, engineering, soldier, anything. Once you have a job (which you will probably grow to hate), you get exposed to the industry as a whole and this gives you ideas as to where you want to specialize.

I think best decision for me right now is to wait for my ssi be another year but they made alot of mistakes on it so I think I can win I do think I need it to get started as my ideas are all bigger ones that take money and time and I think they will work but you never really know till you get into it thanks for the support I feel a little better everyday I tell myself at least im not in debt so I can rise quick one day.
