El Paso Massacre...

Im like an animal living in a burrow ,I run back to my burrow until its quiet, its shattering not being close to the burrow Ive never felt safe since I was born

You're in England, aren't guns illegal there? I know actual gunpowder guns are, but I thought air guns were too? How awful!

We have gunpowder guns everywhere in the US of course and on the south side of my city the gunfire goes all night, but the gangstas mainly kill each other, of course they don't care if you're in the way but the black and hispano gangstas really don't fire into crowds at random for giggles like young white guys do. Even then I really don't care if the gangstas kill each other, they chose the gang life and live by the sword die by the sword, but killing innocent animals with air rifles is just evil, the animals suffer for quite a while before dying with air rifles.

Your post also reminded me of when I was little and when I entered kindergarten I had to give up my speech therapist for convoluted reasons, and the ST gave me a little squirrel plushie as a going away gift, she told my mom that I reminded her of a squirrel that gathers acorns in a burrow and then hides in the burrow with its acorns to protect itself and its food supply from predators. :D:p

How did sis & bf not notice the AR-15 clone in the car...!?

*shrug* Beats me. He apparently had a couple drum magazines, the type that used to be called Chicago Pianos because drum mags were used in 1920s Chicago in the bootlegging wars. How he hid a Bushmaster and several hundred rounds of ammo in the trunk so that his sister didn't notice is beyond me, a sentiment shared by Dayton PD.

The latest buzz on El Paso is that the shooter was a white supremacist. (So far, no claim of autism has been stated.)

Some people are blaming "video games" and "mental health issues" for these mass killings, just like they did after Parkland 2 years ago....and ignore substantial evidence that video games do not promote violence.

We are living in "interesting times".

Some people are blaming... "mental health issues" for these mass killings,...
That was my concern in the OP, but that was clearly due to racism. Dayton does seem to be about a mental illness and is not consistent with a racist attack.

I thought of this thread yesterday when I read this article: Eurydice Dixon's killer told psychologist he wasn't sure he would 'go the whole way' with murder

If you're going to read it be careful - it's nasty.

The alleged murderer was previously diagnosed with Autism and that has come up regularly in the media prior to this.

However, the article states this: "...Todd had an obsession with violent porn and “emo girls” prior to the murder and fantasised about non-consensual sex culminating in a woman’s death. He has since been diagnosed with sexual sadism disorder."

It actually makes me really angry to have autism continually linked to someone who has these kind of problems - someone who would do this to another person. But people are still going to remember 'oh, he was autistic.' :rage:
