Dysgraphia

Wow. I wonder....My Dad and I both write like first graders. I tend to scatter upper and lowercase letters all over the place, and leave letterforms unfinished. I also sometimes inadverdantly omit letters from words, as well.

My sister in law is a good artist, so she can control her hand motions. Still, her handwriting is very unattractive. I can write legibly if I write slowly, but I can never make my writing even and attractive. I prefer to print if I want to present myself as an intelligent, well educated person. Hooray for computers!

Does it really matter? Once I left middle school I never used cursive again other than to use my signature. Nice to be able to read it I suppose, but on a practical level it's right up there with a need for knowing Latin. I learned in high school drafting to print quite eloquently though.

I don't think I have dysgraphia.
I didn't have trouble in school with spelling.
When I was 9 I wrote so small, and with a number 4 pencil,
that, now, I feel sorry thinking about the teacher trying to read it.

I especially enjoyed making arithmetic problems fit in one line.

My handwriting isn't nice to look at, as far as I am concerned.
It's better if I print and still it doesn't look good.

Using a keyboard is so much faster than a pen or pencil
and doesn't make my hand and wrist hurt.
