DOUBLE the Last LETTER

Marror

As part of the Passover Seder, Jews eat bitter herbs, known as Marror in Hebrew.

Marror is Hebrew for bitterness. We eat it to remember the bitterness of slavery, the bitterness of being without hope, without faith. The bitterness of body, mind, and spirit that comes from being under someone else's yoke and having no purpose in life.

Another part of the Seder is the dipping of Karpas, bitter herbs into salt water. It is to remember the tears of slavery. So when you eat it you literally taste tears and sorrow and regret, so that everyone young and old, knows never to let that happen to anyone ever again.
