Do you agree that Technology is going too far?

Social media is the worst development that society is being affected/shaped/influenced by and that sort of thing relies on technology.

I've read several Science Fiction stories about oppressed people in a high-tech society. To restore democracy, they have to use some pretty advanced technology themselves. In none of the stories do the rebels entrust all communication to the enemy's convenient services. .
 
Over-reliance on AI is mass-producing soulless work. And use of LLMs should not be encouraged for quality work in university and also workplace. Just my own opinion, got easy grades in college while being dead inside with submitting AI assignment.
 
A lot of people think they don't need to learn a fact that they can look up, but when trying to think about things, they only have the things in memory to work with. Now, they may even stop trying to think
