Do some autistics not laugh?

I think Stephen Fry said American comedy main characters are cracking jokes at others whereas in British comedies the main character IS the joke. Probably a lot to do with the national psyches.

"The Big Bang Theory" is hilarious, but it is getting a bit long in the tooth these days.
A lot of that was very funny but the canned laughter really spoiled it. Wouldn't be so bad if they only used it when something was actually funny instead of at the end of every sentence.

"Studies show that jokes seem funnier if other people are laughing too." Yeah, right. Wankers.

That's American comedy for you.
In British comedy there's usually the laughing more on cue, like when you actually find something funny so does the laughing track.

The funniest show I've seen in a very long time is Top Gear, from 2004 to 2015 anyway. I still often replay that series.

I am not arguing with you.
I don't even have a disagreement with you, since I embrace the concept of:
"To each their own..."
"Whatever bakes your cookies..."
"One man's meat is another man's poison..."

However. :p
I "cut my teeth" on American TV shows.
I personally have no problem with "canned laughter".
Call it the nostalgia factor.
