I love that...You're awesome... at any job, I'm the skinny, goofy chick fixing equipment er whatever. They're reluctant to hire me and in end... beg me to stay.

I often wonder that too. To be in management, I think you have to be unscrupulous. You want to impress the people above you in the chain of command. That means hiring and firing, making your subordinates work harder, divide and rule.

Had a brief time in management. At times, it was unsettling. Happy to take orders, do my job and avoid the office politics.
 
Ah, I wish my work experience was like that. I need those very clear instructions to function in the workplace, I just cannot make these decisions by myself. I can see how it would be demoralizing or even humiliating to others though. Nobody wants to be treated like they're stupid or behind everyone else.
