Directing a Movie

I think you're in over your head.

You've attempted nothing in the way of attracting actors?
I don't know whether your question "How do I direct a film by myself?" is
rhetorical or what.

Have you performed or assisted in any theatrical productions?
Have you attended any classes about film making?

As a reply to "What have you tried so far?", What does "They're out of town." mean?
