FAST FACTS AND CONCEPTS #122

"Palliative Care and ICU Care: Pre-admission assessment

Richard A Mularski MD and Molly L Osborne MD
Background: What are the indications for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) admission
in the chronically and/or terminally ill and how can one integrate palliative care
into the daily interdisciplinary agenda? A good approach is to determine the
patient-centered goals of care and then decide if ICU care will help promote
or detract from these goals."

I wish I could find an audio clip of the ad for US 131 Dragway.

"Sunday Sunday US 131 Draaaaagway...."
I used to race on a lot of Sundays at the dragstrip I used the most. The best part was qualifying at 10 am where there is no speed limit and they encourage you to go faster each time. The bragging rights were to keep your white shoe polish qualifying time on the windshield and side window for Monday morning.
