Collective unconscious and magick tricks

I know psychology is a soft science, but some of it is pretty specific.
Personally, I think even calling it "soft science" is pushing it a bit. Psychological theories have more in common with ancient philosophies in terms of their formulation than with theories for example in sociology. For example, psychology just goes ahead and explains suicide in terms of depressive disorder, while sociology asks questions about the social conditions where suicide is most common.

That's not to say psychological or psychiatric perspectives are completely invalid, but they are limited in terms of their scientific applicability.

Psychology uses sociological data and also runs experiments before stating something as truth. However, many of psychologist's schools of thought are not necessarily something you can prove or disprove much like religion. So what we have is a blending of science and circumspection.
