Clinical depression is a real beast.

I never can sleep if I am wide awake like that, I tend to get up and make a drink of tea or juice and read or do puzzles. Then I get drowsy usually, but if I don't, I will usually sleep ok the next night. Trying to sleep is stressful, though I expect you are keen to be fit for work. Hope they are paying for your transport.
