Change one letter to make a new word

Where do things stand with this?
I think Nervous Rex inadvertently added a letter, instead of changing one, so, I simply played my turn, based on the last post inline with the way the game description/ directions are stated.

I actually saw that the game started with 5 letters and changed to 4 after a few pages. From that, I guessed that adding a letter was allowed.

Ah, I see. I didn't realize that, and I have been playing it incorrectly. Yikes. My apologies and thank you for clarifying.
