I'm having one of those days today. I feel limited to doing only basic tasks like going out to get milk and slowly make something to eat. My body feels like it has shut down. Staying in today for part of my own self care. Already spilt a plastic cup of water all over my floor down to delayed cognitive skills and a weakened hand grip. Early night for me tonight. So tired. Are there days when you just feel weary, sluggish, and unproductive? How do you deal with brain fog and manage to accomplish your goals for the day?
it's my time of the month going on probably time of the decade my brain isn't even foggy it keeps saying to me you can choose breathing or thinking not breathing and thinking todayIt's my time of the month, so it's no surprise I'm feeling that way now. It's a beautiful sunny day, but I just want to stay inside and use the computer. But the again that's what I want to do most days. I must really be addicted.
I have lots of those days and mostly I don't cope and I get nothing done. The only hope is to greatly lower my expectations for the day and make lots of micro list.
Its so foggy up in my head sometimes, you can slice it with a knife and stack it like hay in some mental shed. I wish I could find a way to sell it or give it away... Not much market for confusion... Then again look around... I think its just as foggy out in the real world also.
I used to have these days all the time. Then I cut out dairy in the morning. Haven't had a brain fog day since.
I emphasize "in the morning" because I still have dairy at night. I can't go to sleep without having a glass of milk first.
This is all at the advice of my doctor, an actual ASD specialist.
i have started and am still finishing a Christmas card, it's the time of year when paper crafters ( or crafters )start making Christmas cards/gifts.Are there days when you just feel weary, sluggish, and unproductive? How do you deal with brain fog and manage to accomplish your goals for the day?
If I don't have some appointment and must push through the sluggishness,
I just say to myself my body is trying to tell me I need something.
Just as hunger or thirst or the need for a trip to the bathroom is telling you too!
They are all things that if you listen to your body it will let you know what it is needing.
In the case of the days with a lot of the foggies, I am learning not to feel the shouldn't give in shames
and just rest.
Today about all I got done was sleep, eat and by evening I felt better and changed my bed.
But, if sleep and eat was all I felt I needed I would have done so.
I sprained my leg last night and a day off with a lot of rest was perfect.
Good for my leg and brain. Leg is better now for it too.
