Autistic family

Hi all. I'll be 50yo in a few weeks and just last week my 16yo daughter and I were diagnosed with ASD. Its extremely likely that my 28yo son is also autistic, though he has decided not to bother with a diagnosis. Although i've suspected for several years it still feels a bit, odd? getting a diagnosis. Am happy to have gotten the daughter diagnosed earlier, hoping it will help make her life a bit easier than mine. Anyway, here to learn as much as possible.

Hello and welcome. Sounds like there could potentially be a good amount of support and understanding among your family members. Hopefully you will find that here, too.

Welcome!

I enjoyed reading

and perhaps your daughter will as well.

Make sure to also see if there are any resources in your area that may be age-limited and ensure that you sign up for them - for example, where I live, there's funding available for general use (whether speech therapy, social activities and camps, or anything else related), but it's only available until one is 18.
