AANE’s Virtual Annual Meeting – A Conversation about Autistic Joy for the AANE Community, 6/13/23, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

DESCRIPTION: Autistic joy is a huge part of Autistic culture and yet, for many, that joy gets criticized. Autistic individuals of all ages are often told that they find joy in the “wrong things” and/or that the way they express joy is “wrong.”

But guess what? There is absolutely no right way to experience joy and, just like most things, Autistics understand joy in their own unique way.

Join us for AANE’s 2023 Annual Meeting, a conversation celebrating Autistic joy led by Training Director Becca Lory Hector and Neurodiversity Training Specialist Ryan Walsh. Spins and flapping welcome! Registration required.

Don't you think it's kind of rude of them to call her "Autistic Joy"? She should just be referred to as "Joy".

Do they really need to have a whole convention over this one autistic lady that they know?

just kidding!

In all seriousness, I just checked out the link. It sounds like a great seminar for Autistic Adults. I didn't know they had a group like this for people like us.

Thank you for sharing.
