Are there any completer finishers here?

I don't finish things
I don't like maintaining them either.

I like ideation, and progressing ideas.

Most people are maintainers or finishers, we just need to find and work with them.

There's a model of ideation that goes like this, can't remember the name.

Ideation
Clarification
Development
Execution.

To get an idea to market it should go though all 4, which people talented in each area.

Ideators hate the clarifiers as they pull apart our beautiful ideas and send them back to the drawing board.

I think Ideators fit MBTI types of intuitive perceiver, and clarifiers fit intuitive judger.

Does number 4 have to be death?

Could explain why we don't finish anything.

I too am part of this Non-Finisher club.

Nursing School, Business school, final projects in High school, keeping my room clean,

The only major tasks I've followed through on is paying my health insurance for the last 4 months, finishing Culinary school 6 years ago (albeit, with a lot of help) and getting my taxes in 15 minutes before the deadline the last 4 years !_!.

I am a hobbyist so i collect coins, trading cards, etc.

10s of thousand of cards have gone unorganized for multiple years as i struggle between selling them and keeping them, values shift rather quickly.

I think the anxiety of the task at hand creates a road block for me.

I have the same problem in a big way except for when working for companies. You have to finish stuff otherwise they'll fire you. I have a massive massive list of unfinished projects. Hm, right now I can't think of any big projects that I finished. It's always the quick easy ones that are finished, like tiny c/c++ tools, or Spice, or FEMM, or 4nec that's for my bigger projects.

Me too, I start things and get sidetracked. There are just so many interesting things and not enough time to do them all, especially with all the less interesting but necessary things that need to be done.

I can be like that start and not finish, But when I make something important enough, then I finish, I cant make everything important enough.

I can put self in tunnel vision hyperfocus mode and that's it, it will get done, only thing is other things can fall by the wayside
