Anyone's special interest cars or motorcycles?

I do love the old heavy stuff! I got this close to putting a 6V53T Detroit in a 75 chevy crew cab but never could find an acceptable trans

Such fun, isn't it. I was looking at Grattan for one of their open track days. I've heard it is a quite nice track.

It is. It's pretty tight though with a lot of elevation changes,...easy to get loose. Mainly designed for motorcycles, but good for SCCA autocross events, as well.

I did two streetrod conversions where we took the front cross members out of Chevy square bodies and used them on a 1938 pickup and on a 1939 panel truck.
It required making two plates out of 5/8" steel to widen the early frames and to be tall enough for the later front member, but no extra holes were required in the original frames
It gave you the modern engine mounts, the full suspension and the disc brakes to work with the later engines that went into them.
The '39 got a 350 and auto trans out of an early Camaro along with 'vette third member and independent setup installed in it too.
After splicing a NOS wiring harness to the late model controls and fuse box, I used the tilt steering column out of a later model GM to complete the ride.
