Anyone else overly sensitive to loud noises?

My parents didn't even bother to learn how to help me with my autism. I was abandoned to cope on my own and unsuccessful at it. I don't know what questions to ask or who to inquire about my Aspergers.

Guilty as charged!

Another common issue discussed in quite a few threads here. Just type "sensitive to noises" in the search box to see what comes up.

I'm definitely very sensitive to sound, not just loud noises, which is very difficult for me being a musician. When I'm playing an instrument, it sounds so loud to me, that I can hardly continue playing. I'm thinking about maybe using ear plugs to see if that helps at all.
