Amazing instrumentals for the last half of the song:

A lot aren't keen on Megadeth, but this song is great, especially as it sounded very similar to the album version when played live:

Very good song

This one was a favourite when I was in school:

Another favourite back in school. More of a black metal vibe:

Some of the recommendations that immediately come to mind for me are Sleep Token, Ghost, Ad Infinitum, Vana, and Bad Omens.
I definitely don’t look like I would enjoy metal but I do!

Off of the top of my head, I recommend Celtic Frost, Sepultura (especially their early years), and Voivod. Mekong Delta is a good one, although far lesser known. I have also listened to more experimental acts like Ulver, Sigh, and Kekal. There's a lot I could list.

I'll throw in Realm and Lazarus AD in there just because they're from my neck of the woods.

Orbit Culture
Slaughter To Prevail
Varials
Knosis
Bloodywood
Vildhjarta
Thrown
Alpha Wolf
Holy Name

...were who I listened to the most last year. The lads in ST are like so many others of us. There's what we compose, record and release...but then there's what we listen to, and it's a lot heavier and more abrasive. Oops. Haha.
