Any good metal recommendations?

And i've been wondering if theres other hidden gems out there that you guys know. Metal is kinda hard to find

Some of the recommendations that immediately come to mind for me are Sleep Token, Ghost, Ad Infinitum, Vana, and Bad Omens.
I definitely don’t look like I would enjoy metal but I do!

Off of the top of my head, I recommend Celtic Frost, Sepultura (especially their early years), and Voivod. Mekong Delta is a good one, although far lesser known. I have also listened to more experimental acts like Ulver, Sigh, and Kekal. There's a lot I could list.

I'll throw in Realm and Lazarus AD in there just because they're from my neck of the woods.

...were who I listened to the most last year. The lads in ST are like so many others of us. There's what we compose, record and release...but then there's what we listen to, and it's a lot heavier and more abrasive. Oops. Haha.

I could not recommend Sabaton more. The Last Stand and Carolus Rex are my favorite albums. They did a promo with Europa Universalis 4. That's how I got into them.

I like Wintersun a lot. A few years ago I came across the singer, Jari's very first demo. It's very good. I believe he was just 17 when he wrote this.

I've got another recommendation: Morbid Angel.

There's a reason why: for years, their drummer was Pete Sandoval, one of metal's fastest drummers.

There's even an old story I heard years ago that the other band members played a prank on him where they made a preprogrammed drum track that was at this insane bpm and have him try to play it, letting him think it was some other real-life drummer. The story goes that not only was Pete able to nail the part, he played FASTER than the machine.

I bring all this up because I just found out Pete Sandoval was diagnosed with autism very recently, at the age of 61. Considering how he dedicated himself to play faster than a drum machine, it honestly makes a lot of sense.
