Hi all.

Have been sent this recommendation from an asd organisation. It is the best anxiety site I have seen. Lots of specific information on different types of anxiety. Hope someone finds it useful.

Hope I have posted in the right forum too.

Thanks

Thank you for sharing this. I have a friend whose adult child was recently diagnosed; this will be very helpful.

Glad you find it helpful. Hope your friend does too. I think it is very clearly laid out and some good information. Things to try at home which sometimes is all you need to make a start.

Good website Sky123! I was tempted to give it to a former friend, but decided ultimately I didn't want to get involved.

Just thinking of saying this below is too much to consider helping out a former friend.
He basically unfriended me because another former friend of mine told him that I felt uncomfortable being around other friend's wife because of how she was treating me. He later wanted tried to call me after I responded with an upset e-mail. I felt no need to respond to the call since I tried to call before the e-mail response. He had faked a lot of his interests with me and we were starting to build a wonderful friendship. I was willing to work with his situation, but he would just cut me off even when I told him stuff that ended up giving him some money and save him time that he would have wasted. I can basically say that the former friend's wife having extreme social anxiety did not help our friendship at all. She was not so extreme at the time I had befriended former friend. Life goes on. . .

Hi paloftoon

Such a shame when something like that happens. Sounds like you did all you could. Sometimes you have to just move on. I had a similar situation happen once frustrating and a bit sad that it has to come to that. Like you say, life goes on...
