Advice? Which paintings to show?

Not sure. How about printing out some photographs of your work and bringing them in to these places and ask what paintings they would like to put up.

Aye, I'd make a portfolio and drag it with me. They they can flip through, decide what they like, and/or if you're willing let them make a custom order and paint something tailored to their business.

I have just started painting again so I am much in the same situation. Is there an artists' association in your area? I recently joined mine and I have found that they are very helpful in getting one's work displayed in local businesses. In fact, I have been asked if I would like to display some of my paintings at an upcoming event at a local winery! So I have been busy getting them exhibit ready.

I used to display a local artists work when I had my business, she was into Manga & I had 6 box-canvases up. I always thought she should rotate with fresh pieces occasionally (though she didn't), so while the portfolio idea's good to start with, you can get a lot more seen over time :)

Hmm, my favorites are no.s 6 & 16, moods of the sea? If I had a wall big enough to hang a painting, I'd buy those!

So I need to choose 8 for a show in Los Angeles...
Any suggestions?
