Advice for dealing with bullies

One of the reasons that hurting bullies gets results, is that a bully's normal home environment is probably one where they are bullied. Perhaps a parent whales on them regularly. Showing that you speak the parent's language makes the bully back off quick. I don't advocate violence per se, but speaking their language for a few minutes can drastically reduce bullying time. I used to wish I was a big guy, back in my childhood. At least I would have had the muscle power to hit back when they ganged up on me.
