Add, asd or just anxiety

Recently I have seen a psychologist knowing I'm either aspie or add and after a few tests including iq test which was 115 she said I just had a slight case of anxiety. All my life I've been different, I have made friends quite easily because we moved around a lot but have struggled to keep friends as I can be annoying and quite outspoken. I have been to jail 5 times between 17 and 25 (now 33) but have never had a drug problem only ever had small amounts of soft drugs recreationaly. Generaly I'm fine with party's but only if I'm drinking I can't do social events sober as I get really anxious and small social events are really hard even with alcohol. My main problem is I'm not consistent with anything and my work suffers, and alcohol seems to make me feel and act and talk so much more like 'normal' people do. Is there medication that can make me feel like I've had 4 ciders all the time? Because even though I only drink 1/2 a slab a week at the moment I feel like I'm at risk of becoming an alcoholic in the future.....

Oh and 2 of my 3 kids have been diagnosed as high functioning asd which is what made me look further into it

Benzodiazepines will lower anxiety and barbituates have similar effects as alcohol however all three of these drugs have major downsides. You are at high risk for alcoholism if you depend upon it to be more social. Barbituates are also addictive and physical dependance on benzodiazepines is a well documented problem. Take a look at these aspiecentral threads:

I currently take klonopin, a benzodiazepine, that is prescribed by my psychiatrist, however, I am very careful not to take it too regularly and I take extended breaks from the drug to avoid physical dependance.

Cheers mate... Most of the drugs you mentioned are also used by heroin addicts either abused recreationaly or to take the edge off while not on heroin. My time in prison has made me very cautious and skeptical of 'zombie' drugs. I have tried Zoloft and pristiq both ssri's and both made me grind my teeth and restricted my airways, I was thinking more about concerta, attarol ect as these help slow the brain down which I definitely need (my brain runs 100 mph) all the time. Less thinking = less anxiety
