Zamość Town Hall, Zamość, Lublin Province, Poland
This impressive building was constructed in the late 16th Century, shortly after the city was founded. Zamość - pronounced zah-MOYSCH (with the "S" and the "CH" both pronounced) - has around 62,000 residents.

A NE Nevada town. One of my earliest and saddest memories is from these beehive structures. I see these and suddenly I remember how cold they are on the inside, and how alone and confused and angry I felt. I remember great love and also great loss.
 
King Peak, also called Kings Peak and King's Peak, in Humboldt County, California. It was supposedly named for a US Army Captain.

I’ve hiked hundreds of kilometres in this country. It’s one of the refuges I return to when I want peace.
 
Peace Bridge, spanning the Niagara River and connecting Canada with the United States. This year is the centennial of the start of its construction.

We went there for a picnic. This was before the bridge was built connecting it to the mainland, so not a lot of people about, rustic little holiday huts…
